Impact of Online Classes on Students

          The COVID-19 pandemic lead to a sudden shift to online teaching and restricted campus access.
          UNESCO recommends distance learning programs and open educational applications during school closure caused by Covid-19 so that schools and teachers used to teach their pupils and bound the interruption of education. Therefore, many institutions go for online classes.


Listed below are the few problems you can face with online learning :

1. Internet connections -- 
              
The unstable internet connections can end up students  behind academically. In this context, students loss intrest in studies.

2. Conducting assessments --
 The main challenges identified in remote assessments were academic dishonesty, infrastructure, coverage of learning outcomes, and commitment of students to submit assessments.

3.Cheating instances --
" Academic integrity in the Age of learning," stated that while 62% of the faculty agreed that students were more likely to cheat than an online class than an in-person class.

4. Addiction to Internet --
 Students who use digital technology excessively are less motivated to engage with their studies and are more anxious about exam tests.

Online classes has affected mental health due to
lack of interest, stress and anxiety, zoom fatigue, eyesight problems, lack of classroom ethics, Bad ergonomics, Lack of Vitamin-D, Calcium deficiency.Students must be guided In a right way to Eschew their feelings.

Merits of online education on Students :

Classes can be taken anywhere and anytime.
Reduced pressure.
Variety of courses.
Can accommodate different learning styles through different activities.
Cost effective and flexible. 

Demerits of online education on Students :

• Lack of problem solving skills.
A lack of downtime and play issues.
• Lack of student customisation.
Exclusion of fun campus activities.
 Less interaction.
Addiction to Social media.
